About the role:
The Quality and Safety Lead is responsible to manage, coordinate and support the Quality Management System (QMS) and Work, Health and Safety (WHS) at Haines Medical Australia.
Key duties and responsibilities:
Management of Quality System and WHS
- Improve, implement and maintain quality and safety system
- Design and implement quality standards and procedures
- Manage change processes and document control processes within the system in accordance to the required standards and guidelines,
- Prepare and conduct Management Reviews/Quality Reviews,
- Oversee adherence to compliance, policies, procedures and relevant legislation
- Manage non conforming outputs and audit findings ensuring all relevant investigations, corrective actions root cause analysis and effectiveness reviews are conducted
- Ensure that products and processes comply with quality & safety systems
Coordination, Administrative Support and Record Management
- Provide training and guidance to staff on quality standards, procedures and best practices.
- Perform administrative duties are required in the quality & safety systems
- Collaborate with departments to ensure quality standards are met
- Ensure that appropriate records are kept as required in the quality & safety systems.
Audit and Controls
- Coordinate and conduct internal audits and inspections ensuring compliance with certifications and WHS requirements
- Manage and lead compliance audits and ensure adherence to industry standards
Quality and Safety Management
- Contribute to the maintenance of ISO 9001 Management System, including any future accreditations and certifications
- Ensure continued improvement for the Haines Quality system
- Act as representative for the Quality System
- Act as representative for Work Health and Safety to identify and communicate safe working practices in line with current standards and acts
Performance Measures:
Role specific performance is measured against:
- Effective management of tasks, systems and processes
- Self-direction, prioritising and time management of workflow is demonstrated;
- Meets the key responsibilities within the position;
- Displays the HMA behaviours and values.
- Individual development performance measures are discussed in monthly 1:1 meeting linked with individual KPI’s set and discussed within those meetings.
Experience required:
- 3+ years’ experience in a quality assurance role, regulatory role or similar discipline
- Proven experience in professional writing of procedures and compliance documentation
- Comprehensive Microsoft Office skills – Outlook/Word/Excel/Teams
- Ability to work autonomously with high attention to detail
- Excellent communication, time management and organisational skills
- Tech savvy to implement system, efficiencies and troubleshoot
- Ability to work with all levels of company staff
- Optimistic, efficient, warm, helpful and resourceful
- Driven and self-motivated; flexible and adaptable
- Professional presentation, phone and customer manner
Desirable
- Qualifications in internal auditing, WHS and ISO9001:2015
- MS SharePoint experience
- Experience in medical products
