Medisound, a leading business unit within Device Technologies, is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge medical ultrasound solutions across Australia. Our commitment to innovation, quality, and customer satisfaction drives us to stay at the forefront of the healthcare industry.
We are looking for a National Business Development Manager who shares our passion for healthcare innovation and can lead our growth efforts across the nation. You will be required to lead a dynamic team of Product Specialists in identifying and developing business opportunities across a portfolio of theatre lights, integration, pendants and operating tables and consumables.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Business Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive national business development strategy to drive market share, revenue growth, and customer engagement for Medisound's portfolio.
- Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify new business opportunities, understand competitive dynamics, and anticipate industry trends.
- Sales Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate a high-performing sales team to achieve sales targets, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including hospitals, clinics, and healthcare providers, ensuring Medisound is their preferred partner for ultrasound solutions.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with product management, marketing, and service teams to ensure alignment between business development strategies and operational execution.
- Reporting & Forecasting: Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts, business plans, and market insights to senior management to inform strategic decision-making.
- Compliance & Ethics: Ensure all business development activities comply with industry regulations, company policies, and ethical standards.

The National Business Development Manager role in our Medisound business unit will be a dynamic and strategic leader with a deep understanding of the medical devices industry, particularly in ultrasound technology. They will have a proven track record of driving business growth and developing strong client relationships across the healthcare sector in Australia.
Experience required:
- Minimum of 8-10 years in business development, sales, or a related role
- Proven track record in leading and developing sales teams, with strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization.
- Travel: Willingness to travel nationally as required.
Desirable
- Deep understanding of the Australian healthcare landscape, particularly in medical ultrasound technology
- Medical devices or healthcare industry experience
