The opportunity…
As an IT Senior Systems Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in automating and orchestrating operational activities with a strong passion for coding. Your technical expertise will be pivotal in advancing our roadmap for Device Technologies, driving innovation and aligning our strategy with future industry trends.
Key Responsibilities:
- Automate processes and workflows to improve efficiency using tools like Terraform, Ansible and PowerShell.
- Administer a mix of Windows and RHEL servers both on-prem and in the cloud.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cloud services, servers, and network.
- Maintain operating systems and applications; adhere to patch management cycles.
- Provide technical assistance and support to staff, administrators, and vendors.
- Collaborate with security team to ensure security standards across the infrastructure.
- Manage projects to ensure delivery of services in line with objectives.
- Document all managed systems comprehensively.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
- Provide mentorship to junior team members.
- Following compliance and architectural principles.
Customer Support:
- Build and maintain relationships with all internal and external customers.
- Understand and meet customer expectations and requirements.
- Respond to support requests promptly, in line with expectations and standards.
- Log all technical support requests in the Help Desk system as per IT standards.

Experience Required:
- A self-motivated problem solver who is curious and shows a willingness to learn and grow.
- Extensive scripting and automation experience in Terraform, Ansible or PowerShell.
- Experience in managing Hybrid cloud environments.
- Proficient in Microsoft Azure, Azure AD, Windows Servers and AD implementation.
- Proficient in managing and implementation of Linux servers (Red Hat preferrable).
- Level 3 systems and application support experience in an enterprise environment.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and customer focus.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Microsoft Azure certification or equivalent industry experience
- Experience with source control Git, Azure Devops
- Experience with the Atlassian Suite
- Experience with VMware virtualization technologies
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Suite
- Mimecast, VMWare virtualised environment, NSX
- Dell Hardware - VXRAIL
